Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. Daihatsu Kogyo Kabushiki-gaisha is a Japanese manufacturer of cars, well known for its smaller models and off-road vehicles. Many of its models are also known as kei jidosha (or kei cars) in Japan. Its headquarters are located in Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture. The name "Daihatsu" is a combination of the first kanji for Osaka and the first of the word "engine manufacture" (Hatsudoki seizo) combined together and pronounced as "dai hatsu. Daihatsu was formed in 1951 as successor organisation to Hatsudoki, and by the 1960s had started exporting cars to Europe, although it did not enjoy any major sales success until well into the 1980s. Since February 1992 in North America, it has been common for Toyota to distribute Daihatsu models.

The Agya - Ayla Twin Open For Preorder

PT. Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) and PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) once again collaborate to make cars, the Agya and Ayla that promotes affordable price, interior spaciousness and fuel efficiency.

Previously, these two automakers synergy has spawned deadly duo the Toyota Avanza - Daihatsu Xenia then Toyota Rush - Daihatsu Terios. The Agya and Ayla are planed to follow government programs related to Low Cost Green Car (LCGC).

Both models have a compact interior design but spacious, comfortable and can carry five passengers so it is suitable to family needs. Although it"s cheap, the model has meet safety standards and ensure the safety of drivers. Agya and Ayla has extremely fuel-efficient with 30 KM / L, same as the hybrid but far more in affordable prices, and the greatest thing is, these two new models using local components by 84 percent as well as reinforce the original model produced in Indonesia.

Agya comes in three variants, TRD-S, High-Grade (G), and Medium-Grade (E) with a choice of white, silver, black, metallic gray, light blue and dark blue color exclusive metallic.TRD- S equipped with aerokit to reinforce the impression of sporty. While the G variant features chrome exterior highlight the frontair outlet and fender. Design of the doors and rear spoiler also looks different and more sporty. The standout is the second line that provides leg room is very spacious.

Currently these two still awaiting LCGC regulation to be issued by the government. TAM has not yet officially issued price. However one of the sales person from Auto2000 had dared to say that Agya can already be booked with IDR 5 million with the possibility of delivery between January to March 2013, and price is between IDR 90-100 million.

Daihatsu All-New Sirion Deluxe

Daihatsu Indonesia launched a new variant of Sirion called the All-New Sirion Deluxe. The difference of this new variant with the standard version, the whole "dress-up" done on the exterior. Among other things, the additional words "Deluxe" in rear fog light cover (fog lamp cover) in front, side body molding on the sides and that makes appearance is more sporty alloy rims (alloy) 16 inch (standard 14 inches).

Another addition in the rear, spoiler, chrome ornament on the rear glass (bottom) and wheel mudguard rear (rear mud guard) and muffler cutter or accentuate the exhaust tip. With this addition, Sirion Deluxe set at Rp 10 million more expensive than the standard, the manual transmission version of IDR 149, 5 million and an automatic IDR 160, 5 million.

Although Sirion imported intact from Malaysia, but specifically for the Deluxe, additional accessories including rims and installation is carried out in Indonesia. With the addition of this variant, Daihatsu hopes to sell 600-650 units Sirion per month.

Daihatsu Xenia Attivo with crossover look

Toyota have Avanza Veloz as the the highest variants, Daihatsu has also appeared Xenia Attivo as part of Avanza-Xenia deadly-duet .

Xenia Attivo is a development of the All New Xenia type R, with changes visible from a more aggressive look and adventur impressed, because the addition of body kit, ranging from the grill, bumper, side body are also some other details. As for the machine, like the All New Xenia type R, which is technologically VVTi engine with 1.3 liter capacity, which is claimed to be the more economical and environmentally friendly fuel.

Attivo brought the concept of crossover, Attivo name itself comes from the Italian language, which means active, reserved for those who are active and dynamic. Interestingly, Xenia Attivo is not a special edition, but additional variants, as Toyota Avanza which has Veloz. It is said that Xenia Attivo designer is the son of nation aka Indonesian.

Astra Daihatsu Motor will market the new Xenia Attivo in mid-November 2011 with the price around IDR 177 million.
