Isuzu D-MAX LE III special edition

Isuzu Australia has released 300 special edition Isuzu D-MAX LE III utes to join the local lineup. The special edition will be the third LE model to be released onto the Australian market, showcasing $8000 worth of added extras.

The Isuzu D-MAX Limited Edition III is based on the top level LS-U D-MAX 4×4, which is the most popular variant in the Isuzu range. According to Isuzu, the 4×4 versions dominate light commercial vehicle sales in Australia, with 4×4 sales more than doubling 4×2 sales.

Compared with the normal LS-U, the D-MAX LE III gets a flashier face with a new chrome grille, silver highlights on the lower fascia and spotlight clusters and a new chrome bonnet guard strip along the top. The LE also gets a pair of racing stripes over the middle of the vehicle for that standout look.

Other features include revised 16-inch alloy wheels with a machined face, ‘Limited Edition III’ logos placed throughout the interior and exterior, and new slimline side steps with body coloured end caps and rubbed studded surfaces.

The D-MAX also comes with a new, more compact single roll over bar in the back that features a brake light high on the middle of bar for added safety, a tub liner inside the tray with tie-down hooks left in place – these normally have to be removed with the installment of tub liners in other utes, and new taillight covers with chrome highlights.

Key highlights of the D-MAX include a higher ground clearance (225mm) compared with most of its rivals, including the Toyota HiLux, combined with one of the lowest tray heights in its class for easy loading and unloading. The D-MAX also features shift-on-the-fly 2WD to 4WD shifting at speeds up to 100km/h.

The 2011 Isuzu D-MAX LE III is on sale now. As mentioned, only 300 of these models will be hitting the showrooms, and they are expected to sell very quickly like the previous LE models. Prices start at $45,500 (excluding on-road costs).

Isuzu Trucks GIGA FVZ and FRR

PT. Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI), until the end of this year will launch five variants and two new truck models, including trucks GIGA FVZ and FRR, this two are allready launched at the plant Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, West Java.

GIGA FVZ and FRR is a product of global heavy duty diesel common rail that their specifications are tailored to the characteristics of Indonesia. Need two-year research and testing of one year so that this product meets the needs of the Indonesian market. Until the end of the year, Isuzu's sales target of up to 600 units.

To type FVZ 34, this 6x4 truck entered in the class gross vehicle weight (GVW) 26 ton capacity equipped machine 6HK1CTS 7.790cc, 6-cylinder-powered 285 PS with torque of 90 kgm at 1450-2400 rpm. Isuzu claimed this trucks main advantages are in power above the average of the highest competitor 260 PS and fuel efficient. The target market is the mining and plantation FVZ such as Sumatra and Kalimantan. To this day 200 orders already entered.

While the type FRR 90, categorized as medium truck with GVW of 10 tons 4x2 4-cylinder engine, Heavy Duty Common Rail turbo intercooler-powered 190 PS and torque of 52 kgm at 1600-2600 rpm. IAMI said that FRR 90 targeting to the distribution business on the island of Java. This truck offers the same power with competitors but more fuel-efficient and long-time durability, such as parts replacement interval is longer. To this day, Isuzu has pocketed 40 orders from customers and ready to be distributed in stages beginning later this month.

Isuzu Bison 2010

Is this really an Isuzu?

Pertanyaan yang pasti akan terucap dari siapapun yang melihat gambar diatas. Bisa diambil kesimpulan bahwa seseorang tampaknya mulai gatal dengan dominasi salah satu merek di segment tertentu, baru-baru ini Harga Mobil Indonesia menemukan sesuatu hal yang menarik dari salah satu produsen mobil nasional yaitu Isuzu dengan slogan terkenalnya "Rajanya Diesel", tampaknya mereka bersiap untuk meluncurkan produk baru dengan nama Isuzu Bison. Terlihat jelas dari beberapa aspek ada persamaan dengan produk sejenis dari produsen lain yang mengangkangi segment Light Commercial Vehicle seorang diri tanpa pesaing berarti selama puluhan tahun! ( dulunya saya salah satu marketing brand tsb ). Langkah apa yang diambil dari Isuzu untuk menembus pasar yang sudah minded kami belum tahu, bahkan beberapa kolega dari Isuzu pun tak bisa (atau tak mau?) menjelaskan tentang hal ini. Jadi anda para pengguna ada baiknya untuk mempelajari dulu lebih rinci karena kami sudah buntu.
