Subaru BRZ Prologue

Subaru finally has a name for their sports sedan results of collaboration with Toyota's. When Toyota named FT-86, then chose the name Subaru BRZ stands Boxer engine. This model will be introduced by Subaru at 64th Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Cars with rear-wheel drive that had brought PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), the holder of the Toyota brand in Indonesia, at the 19th Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2011 last July.

Mentioned if BRZ stands Boxer engine - the hallmark of the Subaru engine, Rear-wheel drive, and Zenith. Subaru will carry the concept version of this car with the theme "Prologue Subaru BRZ - Boxer Sports Car Architecture II." Also mentioned if Subaru will start mass production by mid next year.

BRZ Specifications include length dimensions of 4.200 mm, 1.770 mm width and height of 1.270 mm and 2.570 mm long wheelbase. Machine using a type 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four cylinder Horizontally-Opposed Boxer.

Subaru set up new models until 2015

Subaru has set up four new models to be marketed until 2015, including Toyobaru hybrid technology - the result of collaboration with Toyota and will be marketed next spring. Whereas in 2013, certainly one of hybrid cars deployed resulting from the development of Hybrid Tourer concepts that appear 2009.

Subaru's parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries said the new models are part of the short-term plan (five years), titled Motion-V. In addition, within the same time, Subaru is also pursuing a sales target of 900,000 units from 633,000 units this year's predictions.

To make it happen, Subaru expect much from the Chinese market by relying on local production from Cherry starting later this year. In addition, Subaru has determined to be a brand product with the highest safety standards in the world by offering a variety of active safety features on every vehicle.

One feature that is reliable is the EyeSight, just like the active autopilot (active driving assists) similar in aircraft using a stereo camera technology.

Subaru Enter Indonesia in CKD Form

Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI) manufacturers of Subaru, signed a joint venture with Tan Chong Group for production of Subaru cars for local assembly in Malaysia. This collaboration allows Subaru to enter Indonesia in the form of assembly (CKD), so far, all Subaru vehicles sold in Indonesia is fully imported (CBU) from Japan.

The first model that will made and also be sold in Indonesia is a compact SUV based on Subaru Concept XV. The car was first shown at the Shanghai Auto Show 2011 is a 4-door SUV with a capacity of 5 passengers. Subaru said that this compact SUV will be using AWD system (All Wheel Drive) Subaru and Lineartronic CVT.

PT. TC Subaru, as sole Subaru distributor in Indonesia, expanding the network to increase the number of Subaru sales in Indonesia. Today, Subaru has a showroom in Pondok Indah in South Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, and Batam. The plan, in this month's Subaru will open two new showrooms in Surabaya and Bali. "We are targeting to open 20 more outlets in 2013," said Glenn Tan, President Director of PT. TC Subaru. Glenn Tan said the expansion is focused on putting a complete infrastructure such as 3S (Sales, Service and Spare parts) and service center in one location. This will provide easier access to customers.

Fastest Subaru WRX STI Hot-Hatch.

Subaru has teamed up with renowned tuning company Cosworth to create a limited-edition WRX STI hot-hatch with supercar-rivalling acceleration.

The new Impreza STI CS400 will sprint from standstill to 100km/h in 3.7 seconds according to the Japanese car maker, making the five-door quicker than many Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

Cosworth has made major modifications to the STI's 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder to generate 33 per cent more power than a regular, 221kW STI - 294kW produced at 5750rpm.

Subaru has yet to release further details, but Britain's Autocar magazine reports that the engine has 539Nm of torque and gains strengthened mechanicals, a high-pressure oil pump, remapped software and revised turbo.

The CS400 also sits on a revised, 10mm-lower suspension, reportedly co-developed by Cosworth, dampers specialist Bilstein and springs expert Eibach. New 18-inch black alloy wheels fill the hatch's wheel-arches, with the front wheels slowed by larger front brakes made by AP Racing.

Bodywork tweaks include revised front bumper with mesh for lower air intake and larger foglights. Don't bother contacting you local Subaru dealer, though.

Only 75 CS400s are being built and will be sold from June in the UK only, priced at £49,995 ($87,000).
