VW New Touran

PT. Garuda Mataram Motor (GMM) introduced the New Touran, this 7-passenger MPV is now appear more elegant. Indeed, many say this product is facelifted model, but change very much. This product is also continuing locally assembled (completely knocked down).

Changes appear on the grille and headlights are sharper. Wider rear glass so as to provide a broader view. Rear spoiler also changed, is claimed to reduce air turbulence at the stern. New Touran also been equipped with a black roof rails and 16-inch wheel designs.

Looking into the interior, driving room look more modern with a touch of chrome coating on some parts of the cabin. Some excellent features, such as multifunction steering wheel, audio system with a new look and the rear view mirror anti-Dazzle.

Under the hood, New Touran still rely on the old 1.4-liter TSI engine direct injection, supercharger and turbocharger. Power output to 140 hp at 5,600 rpm and torque of 220 Nm at 1500-4000 rpm. This car is capable of accelerated from 0-100 km per hour in 9.5 seconds and a maximum speed of 202 km per hour. Although fast, the fuel consumption consist of 1 liter for 14.5 km.

All New VW Polo

Indonesia launched the All New VW Polo at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2011. Volkswagen hatchback will be one of the mainstays of PT Garuda Mataram Motor, agents holders VW brand in Indonesia.

In addition to the latest Polo, GMM also displays several models including the flagship New Touran newly launched, TSI Golf, Scirocco and Caravelle.

Along with the launch of the new Touran, GMM also introduced one of the dealers PT Wolfsburg Auto Indonesia in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta as the VW marketing network with a new concept according to Corporate Identity and Corporate Design (CI / CD).

Volkswagen Polo GTI

The new Polo GTI, which makes its debut at the Geneva motor show, features a 1.4-litre TSI engine that uses a supercharger to boost power at low revs and a turbocharger to provide increased shove at mid and high engine speeds. There's also a package of "sporty" styling measures that echo those of its big sister, the Golf GTI. The supercharger operates from idle up to 3,000rpm, at which point the turbocharger cuts in. The result is 178bhp at 6,200rpm and 184lb ft of torque from 2,000rpm, allowing 0-62mph acceleration in 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 142mph.

Despite the performance, the Polo GTI delivers 47mpg on the EU Combined cycle, with CO2 emissions of 139g/km. The TSI engine drives the front wheels via a compact seven-speed, twin-clutch DSG gearbox. There's also an XDS differential, an electronic cross-axle traction control system for improved traction and handling, working in conjunction with an electronic limited-slip differential (EDL) which is a part of the standard ESP system.

Chassis improvements over the standard Polo include new springs and dampers which give 15mm lower ride height. GTI styling add-ons include a revised front bumper with a deeper airdam and a honeycombe grille with horizontal red strips bearing the GTI badge. There are also new headlights, with the option of LED daytime running lights. The sides are adorned with sill extensions and at the back there's a new rear bumper featuring a small diffuser, from which emerge and a pair of chrome-tipped exhaust outlets.
Finishing touches are 17-inch wheels identical in style to those on the Golf GTI, together with red brake calipers. Inside there are revised dials, a flat-bottomed GTI steering wheel with gearchange paddles, aluminium pedals and bolstered front sports seats finished in tartan trim. Asubtle gloss black trim covers the centre console while the headlining is now finished in black.
