The Nissan March (known outside Asia as Micra) is a supermini car produced by the Japanese automaker Nissan since 1982. From 1992 until July 2010 over two million March/Micra cars were built in Europe at the NMUK plant in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, UK. Nissan is one of the first major Japanese automakers to shift production of a popular vehicle abroad and import the vehicle for sale in Japan, called gyaku yunyu or “reverse imports".
