PT. Toyota Astra Motor introduced the Grand New Fortuner who continued existence of the 7 seater concept SUV that rolled across Indonesia since 2005.
Still using the previous chassis, the Grand New Fortuner carries a number of changes that crisscross the rearview mirror with turn signal, the design of the headlamps, radiator grille, hood, front bumper, fog lamps, over fenders and fender design and angle sensors.
The interior is similar to it's predecessor. Small change, but meaningfull, come on the instrument panel, combination meter, gear lever and wood ornaments black wood steering wheel on the center dashboard.
Grand New Fortuner is available in 4 variants with a choice of two diesel and two petrol engines. For the diesel engine option consisted 2.5G diesel manual 4x2, 4x2 disesel 2.5G automatic, while the petrol engine option is a 2.7G automatic Lux 4x2 and 4x4 Automatic 2.7V.
For diesel engines, vehicles that have the same platform with the Hilux is equipped machine VNT type 2 KD-FTV 2.5-liter D-4D common rail direct injection turbo. While the petrol version uses the machine type 2 TR-FE 2.7-liter DOHC VVT-i is capable of collecting power of 160 hp at 5200 rpm with torque of 241Nm at 3800 rpm.
TAM promised to immediately release the price of Grand New Fortuner at the time the vehicle was officially launched in Indonesia Inernational (IIMS) 2011 which will run from June 22 to 31 later.
