New Suzuki Swift officially reveal

Indian Suzuki manufacturer Maruti has finally decided to “officially” reveal a gorgeous image of the new Swift through its official Facebook page. Now the Maruti Suzuki Swift has added the turn indicators on the outer rear view mirrors even if they were right hand drive models. And the turn indicators aren’t the only big changes in the new Swift.

Every panel of the new Swift has been changed although it will be difficult to discern through the images, except perhaps for the trained eye. The new Swift also features a new petrol engine, which is more powerful than the existing 1.2 Liter K-Series unit due to the dual variable valve technology, while retaining the same engine capacity. The new Swift’s wheelbase is also longer for a full 40mm making for a more stable ride and handling apart from liberating extra cabin space, especially on the rear seats.

While the international version gets a push button start, Maruti has chosen not to include it in the Indian model. The diesel engined Swift though not seeing any change in the Fiat Multijet Diesel engine department, gets an all new variant called the ZDI, which finally means that Swift Diesel owners can specify their cars with both airbags and ABS. The boot though gets smaller on the new Swift, which perhaps is the only bummer on what otherwise looks like a superb package!
