No need to wait until the Los Angeles Auto Show next month to get the certainty of the shape and the engine 2013 Ford Escape. Based on information from Ford Story, appearance will not be much different from the concept of Vertex Ford ever on display at the Detroit Auto Show 2011.
The machine will be available in three options with the type 4-cylinder in line who will be full of the latest technology. Two of them will apply EcoBoost (turbochargers), in a capacity of 1.6 liter with 180 HP power that is able to explore 13 km per liter and the 2.0 liter engines 247 HP with fuel consumption a bit more extravagant, 12 km per liter.
The conventional 2.5 liter engine (naturally aspirated) technology equipped Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing (Ti-VCT). Dual variable valve technology which is more frequently deposited on the Ford engine 3.0-liter V6 model who also had to fill the space under the hood of this Escape.
