MINI introduce Mini GP special edition

British car company MINI which owned by BMW AG will introduce the Mini GP special edition as the second generation John Cooper Work (JCW). This model have a retouch, both in exterior and interior shades of sport in accordance with GP emblem attached to the body side and on the hood.



JCW GP is claimed as the fastest in the MINI family since it only takes 8 minutes 23 seconds when circling the Nürburgring-Nordschleife track. The results were 19 seconds faster than the previous generation JCW, who wore a 1.6-liter engine and produces 213 PS power with peak torque of 244 Nm. While the GP, MINI equiped with 1.6 liter twin scroll turbocharged, so it has a maximum power of 233 PS.

Besides the engine, changes are also visible on the exterior a more aerodynamic. Elements associated with the sport is reflected on the rim of lightweight materials with the four Bespoke crossbar. The model has wind channel side skirts placed on the front the rear wheels, combined with a rear spoiler and diffuser above, further strengthen the look of sports.

To compensate for a large force, the legs increased, mainly replaced sport adjustable suspension, sport brakes and tires specs, rear seat removed to cut weight. Sporty variant of the MINI hatchback will go on sale late this year or no later than early 2013 in limited numbers in the range of 2,000 units for the whole world.
