TAM officially launched the Toyota 86

PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) officially launched the Toyota 86. The premier sports car of Toyota Indonesia was imported intact (completely built-up) from Japan and priced starting from IDR 600 million on the road in Jakarta.

The car which so called "Hachi-Roku", is a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru, for 4U-type boxer engine with a capacity of 1998 cc with the GSE technology called Toyota D-4S (direct injection gasoline 4-srtoke superior), plus a 6-speed manual transmission and automatic.

Power output 200 PS@7.000 and torque 205 Nm@6.400 rpm and is driven by the rear wheels (RWD). Characteristic of this compact sports car, the low center of gravity, only 460 mm. This can be obtained for construction machinery is harisontal boxer engine.

Designed body sharp at the end comes a pair of "eyes" HID projectors and LED rear lights with futuristic design. Impression as aggressive car also looks at the water scoop on the hood plus double exhaust tip. Moreover, side skirts and rear spoiler which makes the aura of a sports car more viscous.

In the interior, to provide the characteristics of sport, Toyota set up a small-diameter steering wheel. Furthermore, the interior is offered in two colors, black and black-red combination. Gear shifted with paddle shift, cruise control, digital and analog panel for the speedometer and tachometer.

Toyota 86 offered in seven color options pearl white satin, dark gray, black silica crystal, sterling silver, red lighting, galaxy blue, and orange silica.
