Chevy Trailblazer officially launched

PT General Motors Autoworld Indonesia officially launched the Chevrolet Trailblazer earlier than planned.

Chevrolet brought two different variants, the 2.5-liter and 2.8 liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine. The 2.5 liter producing 152 PS power and 350 Nm of torque while the 2.8-liter version produces 182.5 PS and 470 Nm of torque (6-speed automatic transmission) and 440 Nm (5-speed manual).

The look of All-New Trailblazer seem manly and masculine. GM SUV design results in South America Design Center in Sao Caetano do Sul, Brazil, is a global Chevrolet product.

Features included are anti-lock braking system (ABS), electric brake-force distribution (EBD), as well as air bags for driver and front passenger. Chevrolet Introducing Trax

Chevrolet will introduce Trax their new compact crossover SUV to 140 countries, but the U.S. isn't one of them. Even Mexico and Canada will get the new five-passenger hauler, so we'll be able to see them from here, just not buy one. In fact, Mexico and Canada will be the first markets to get the Trax later this year. The Trax will be head to head with Nissan Juke that allready roaming Indonesian road for sometimes.




GM provided few Trax details, including powertrains, but said the production Trax will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.

In dimension the Juke and Trax are almost identical. Trax which for the European market bearing the name Opel Mokka has a size length of 4248 mm, width 1776 mm and 2555 mm wheelbase. While the dimensions of Juke 4125 mm, 1765 mm and 2530 mm.

Exterior design, especially the appearance of headlights and grille design adopted from Captiva, combined front and rear fenders slightly fatter (bloated), thus giving the impression of stout. The All New Chevy Aveo

General Motor Indonesia (GMI) re-launched its flagship in the sub-compact segment with new models, namely the All-New-Chevrolet Aveo (Sonic).



With the dimension of long 4039 mm, width 1735 mm, height 1517 mm and 2525 mm wheelbase, all-new Aveo is now using the 1.4-liter engine, with two transmission options, the 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

All-New Aveo engine uses the latest generation drive 1.4 L DOHC Double CVC which produces maximum power of 100 PS Of torque @ 6,000 rpm and 130 rpm Nm@4.000, which was transferred by the transmission (manual and automatic) to the front wheels.

Standard features of the All-New Aveo, for LS and LT (M / T), is a 15-inch aluminum rims and tires 195/65, while the LT (A / T) 16 inch with tires 205/55. All variants equipped with power sockets for a variety of electronic equipment, and the 2-DIN CD/MP3 sound system with four speakers.

Most All-New Chevrolet Aveo can be ordered in this month through dealers throughout Indonesia. Available colors are Black Sapphire, Royal Gray, Blue Cceanic, Switchblade Silver, and Summit White.

Chevrolet Trailblazer on prep

Latest Chevrolet SUV, the Trailblazer for Indonesia most likely only be marketed after the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS 2012) September.

Although as a replacement for the Blazer, Trailblazer total new, better machines, designs and concepts. For example, if Chevrolet had only uses a gasoline engine, now Trailblazer Duramax diesel engines rely on that is also used on the Colorado pickup.

As in Thailand, in Indonesia Chevy Trailblazer, will be dealing directly with the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Toyota Fortuner. Other indirect competitors are the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5 crossover and the Nissan XTrail.

In Thailand, where the SUV was assembled, marketed in two engine options, namely the 2.5 liter and 2.8 liter, equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger (VGT). Prices range from 1.059.00-1.489.000 bath or IDR 314 million - 441.5 million.

GM will build Chevrolet Spin in Indonesia

General Motors announced it will manufacture Multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) Chevrolet Spin in Indonesia. This seven-passenger vehicle will start production at GM's manufacturing facility in Jakarta, West Java, from early 2013.

Chevrolet Colorado

Chevrolet Colorado officially launched in Bangkok, Thailand. The new pickup is offered in two engine options turbo diesel with 26 variants and will be marketed to 60 countries around the world. The launch in Indonesia is expected next year.

GM selected Thailand as production base given the huge potential market. In addition to working on the domestic market, GM is also supplying the export market, which is not only to the scope of ASEAN, but also the world, which is supplied from Thailand.

GM Rebuilt Plan in Indonesia

General Motors is considering a plan to make passenger cars in Indonesia as part of the plan point of export to other countries. Manufacturers from the United States was planning to announce his plans to set up factories in Indonesia today, Reuters quoted the Wall Street Journal.

The plant was scheduled to have a production capacity of up to 50,000 vehicles per year. With the plant, General Motors to export cars at affordable prices to the Southeast Asia region as well as challenge the dominance of Japanese brands in the region.

General Motors Indonesia had left the market in mid-2000 when closing a vehicle assembly plant near Jakarta. GM Indonesia to make changes in its management by appointing Marcos A. Purty, as its new president in Indonesia.

New Chevrolet Captiva 2011

Coinciding with the anniversary of 100 years of Chevrolet, PT General Motors Indonesia (GMI) has launched their flagship product the New Chevrolet Captiva. Event themed with Captiva Anniversary Expedition at Lombok, Mataram. Although sport utility vehicle appearance is still similar to previous models, does not mean there is no change of it.

On the exterior there are 9 parts from front to back, while the interior at least 6 parts, plus many features that are not owned by any other SUV. Chevrolet logo is larger and thicker signifies the celebration of 100 years of Chevrolet.

GMI believes this new Captiva sales could be better than before. Although not mentioning exact figures, they believes thousands of units can be achieved. Regarding prices, GMI provides estimates of between IDR 330 to 340 million.
